Anonymous heroes with a defibrillator save the life of a man in Arganda del Rey
A man is transferred to the Gregorio Marañón alive after suffering a heart attack while walking his dog in Arganda.
The mobile ICU of Summa 112 has transferred a 46-year-old man to Gregorio Marañón alive after suffering a heart attack while walking his dog on Avenida del Instituto in the town of Arganda del Rey.
As reported the head of the Summa 112 Guard, R. Caballero, through Twitter, "The chain of survival has worked perfectly", thus, he explained that "the alert person who called the emergency service 112 followed the instructions by telephone to carry out the maneuvers to perform CPR correctly".
How The first respondent, a citizen who was walking through the area, has alerted 112 and carried out the first CPR maneuvers by telephone, followed by the Municipal Police of Arganda del Rey who was carrying our DEA defibrillator in the patrol car, following with the "Basic life support maneuvers applying the semiautomatic defibrillator patches and proceeding to perform three electric shocks for the heart rhythm that the defibrillator detected".
Upon arrival, the staff of the Summa 112 has continued with cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers until recovery from arrest. Finally, the patient has been transferred alive in the mobile ICU to Gregorio Marañón.
