The club "Vent d'Estrop, Vogadors de Cambrils" Cardioprotected Space - Defibrillator

The club "Vent d'Estrop, Vogadors de Cambrils", is made up of more than 160 friends who practice rowing in the sea of Cambrils, Tarragona, Catalunya. It has a partner area that practices rowing in a fun and social way, and another competition area with more demanding training at all levels.

"Vent d'Estrop" has more than 10 years of history and its rowing boats, train the 12 months of the year, are part of one of the most recognizable marine pictures of the municipality of Cambrils.

And in addition to offering a space to share, learn and have fun The club "Vent d'Estrop, Vogadors de Cambrils" cares about prevention, which is why it has recently started a sales campaign of life-saving bracelets, with which they intend to finance the purchase of a defibrillator that could be of vital importance in the case of cardiac arrest of one of its athletes and others close to the Club.

The main reason for the "Vent d'Estrop, Vogadors de Cambrils" club to protect themselves and for which they are especially sensitive to this real danger is that in 2014 one of their athletes suffered a cardiac arrest which fortunately did not have serious consequences due to that the partners who accompanied him in training performed a correct manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation for more than 15 minutes, until the health emergency service could arrive. Therefore, they also took concerns and several of their partners, who are health professionals, taught a 4-hour course to learn how to act in the face of a cardiorespiratory arrest, and did resuscitation practices with dolls and defibrillators.
