Defibrillators and CPR Zaragoza Delicias Station

The next 4 and 5 days in June, at the Zaragoza Delicias railway station, Proyecto Salvavidas, in collaboration with Adif, will carry out different demonstrations of how to use a defibrillator and basic techniques of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

The use of these devices is very simple and can help save many lives.

Adif has defibrillators in the main stations of Catalonia, Andalusia and Aragon, among them Zaragoza Delicias. These equipment are state-of-the-art and are installed under the recommendations of the Spanish Society of Medicine and Work Safety, becoming Cardioprotected Spaces.

The Lifeguard Project is a social initiative of cardioprotection through which more than 1.300 entities have managed to have defibrillators and trained personnel for their use, supported among others by Vicente del Bosque, national soccer coach and many more entities and high level sports clubs .

Every year more than 30.000 people die in Spain outside the hospital environment. The performance of those present in the first 5 minutes is vital, time, which unfortunately, is insufficient for the arrival of professional emergencies in most cases.

The instructors of the Lifeguard Project will teach the basic techniques and the operation of different models of defibrillators. Likewise, they will inform about the minimum recommended requirements in order to have an optimal cardioprotection service, the regulations in force in the Government of Aragon and the social campaigns through which, without investment, they can be a Cardioprotected space.

The Salvavidas Project, among many others, has a collaboration agreement with the Federation of Municipalities of Aragón, thanks to which many municipalities, educational centers and associations have defibrillators through their campaigns such as Life-Saving Bracelets or Cardiovending.
